Milt, this is Cathy Hampton from Seattle a quarter of a century ago. I know the crisis is over and you and Barbie are home, but this was *scary* to read! Please give Barbie my love. You’re both in my thoughts and prayers. I rather like where your life has led you in the last few years: it’s fascinating reading about your trips to Haiti and Kenya and the work you’ve been doing there.

I love this story because it shows how Godly our workers are, and how they are changing lives because of the gospel. Too many of our donors think that “all” we do is help starving and impoverished kids…we bring people to Christ as well, which might be more important.

My sister (Catherine Hampton- Seattle or Portland church) told me about you and your work directly before I moved here to Kenya with my son in June. As I watch the kids in the Lenana slum daily, I can’t help put be moved by the successes you guys are seeing there in Kisumu. Nice work and encouraging stuff!

I felt that my gift was so inadequate coepmrad to the need. Then I remembered the how little Jesus had to work with when he fed the multitudes. I encourage others to send their little bits’ and to pray for Christ to bless it and multiply it.
